Support Groups

Support Groups for survivors of abuse, assault and molestation are being held at Enrich Counseling Center, 8401 Shelbyville Road, on the corner of Shelbyville and Lyndon Lane. 

Survivors of Sexual Assault and/or Molestation (SOSAM), is held the 1st and 3rd Mondays of the month at 7:00 pm.

Survivors of Abuse (SOA) is held the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month at 7:00 pm.

Participants can share their stories, just listen, or read/share any poetry or stories written by other survivors of abuse/assault.  I have a binder full of inspirational poems and stories written by survivors of abuse and assault.  You can add yours if you like.

I helped in SCASOS (Survivors of Child Abuse, Supporters of Survivors) groups online from 2002 to 2007.  I held support groups at the Germantown Healing House and currently hold them at Enrich Counseling Center.  I am an Ordained Minister, and have a Career Diploma in Child Psychology & Development, as well as Associate to Master's level classes in Psychology, Human Development and Sociology.  I am a registered Life Coach and recognized Behavioral Consultant for women survivors of abuse, sexual assault and molestation.

Works of Heart was established in Louisville, Metro in 2004.

Ministerial Services

 Ministerial Services are performed at your home or other location, or at Enrich Counseling Center.  I offer baptism, child dedication, home/office blessing, intercessory prayers, homebound visitation, hand-fasting officiation and Charity of the Month Teas, on the last Sunday of the month as anounced, at Enrich Counseling Center, as well as other lay minister services. 

Services have a suggested donation of $20.00, with the exception of Hand-Fasting Officiation, which is a $50.00 fee, which includes certificates.  (Gay and Lesbian couples welcome!)

Life Coaching

My coaching motto is:  "Be the Butterfly That You Were Born To Be!". The butterfly analogy is used in Eastern philosophy as a mirror to human development.  We all start out as caterpillars, needing to feel safe, warm, dry and well-fed.  Then we can move into a period of introspection, or cocooning, in adolescence to find out who we are, and who we want to be.  Then as adults we can fly on our own dry, well-tested wings and be our own vibrant selves.  Abuse at an early stage in our development can stall this process.  I know because I was a victim of abuse and molestation.  Now I am a survivor who helps other women to overcome the stress from the trauma of abuse and assault, to "be the butterfly that they were born to be!".  I have been doing this since 2004. 

The first 30 minute meet & greet session is free, and each coaching client recieves a free journal.  Coaching can be in your home or office, or at Enrich Counseling Center, 8401 Shelbyville Road, Louisville, KY  40222.  502-403-1090. Life Coaching sessions are $25.00 per hour, per person, or sliding fee scale with proof of income.  I offer customized individual coaching, as well as the following packages.

Human Relations & Social Sensitivity-A look at how to relate to others effectively and be sensitive to other's cultural differences.  6 hour program in 1 hour per week sessions.  Cost=$150.00

Personal Harmony-An exercise in discovering where your life derailed, why, and how to get it back on the track that you want it on.  16 hour program in 1 hour per week sessions.  Cost=$400.00

Teen Pregnancy-A program to help teen mothers with self-esteem, self-care and maturity issues before the baby comes.  29 hour program in 1 hour per week sessions.  *Note-you should register by the 10th week of pregnancy to recieve the full benefit, but will do later registers at a discounted rate.  Cost=$725.00

Parenting Skills-An instruction on expert child-rearing skills and a "supernanny" style observation and tips.  4 hour program in 1 hour per week sessions.  Cost=$100.00

Child Development and Psychology-A look at how children develop and the way that their minds work.  6 hour program in 1 hour per week sessions.  Cost=$150.00

Starting Over for Women-A walk through of life skills that homemakers or co-dependants may not know; such as finances and prioritizing.  (*This program will be offered through JCPS Lifelong Learning !  It will be a 6 week course.)  6 hour program in 1 hour per week sessions.  Cost=$150.00

Getting Along with Others Who Are Different From Us-A look at different personality types and how to best deal with them.  4 hour program in 1 hour sessions per week. Cost=$100.00

Defeating Dark Influences In Your Life-A look at the Satanic Kingdom's agenda in your life and how to lessen their hold on your life.  2 hour program.  Cost=$50.00

Living Your Own Life-A look at how to become less co-dependant, and step into your own life of your dreams.  2 hour program.  Cost=$50.00

Zen, Experiences & Awareness-A look at Zen concepts, examining your experiences and being aware of the present moment.  2 hour program.  Cost=$50.00

Perfect Sleep-A look at all of the things that interfere with sleep, and how to override distractions to get our best night's sleep.  2 hour program.  Cost=$50.00  (This program is now also available through JCPS Lifelong Learning Program starting this Spring)

*Most of these programs can be presented as classes/workshops at your location.  Group costs are $10.00 per person, per hour, with a 5 person minimum. 

I have Gheens Academy credits in Elementary Education, as well as KY state required credits for preschool teachers.  A Career Diploma in Child Psychology & Development, Associate to  Master's level classes in Psychology, Human Development and Sociology, as well as 26 years of personal study in Psychology.  I am a registered Life Coach with CTA and am a recognized Behavioral Consultant.   

I am a JCPS Lifelong Learning Instructor, former resident Minister/Life Coach at the Germantown Healing House, and artist and presenter at the Rainbow Spiritual Education Center, as well as an associate at Enrich Counseling Center.

All of these programs are available to individuals in home, or office, or at Enrich Counseling Center as individual programs or watch for our classes!  Students or clients recieve handouts and a certificate for completing the program.
